Canon Fandom: Dragon Sword and Wind Child
Name: Torihiko
Age: 12
Location: Europe
Current Occupation: None, he’s only 12!
AU History: Torihiko was an average boy growing up in the Outer Ring of a European town. His parents belonged to a small religion, imported from Asia when their ancestors came over. According to this sect, the Goddess of Darkness (or Death) was not evil or defiled, but the mother of all Earth and the one who keeps life from stagnating by recycling. Thus, Torihiko believes (as do most others in his sect) that he’s the reincarnation of a noble. Unfortunately, this didn’t do him much good in practical terms, as only the people of his own religion cared at all.
But for every worshiper of the Goddess of Darkness was one for the God of Light. Both sects were small and shunned as somewhat off-kilter, but very pious and very hostile to each other. Those who worshiped the God of Light believed they had to transfer all defilement from them to a human sacrifice twice a year. (Thus, they were shunned a little more than the People of the Dark.) Torihiko was unfortunate, and brash enough, to get caught by the Light in one of the many skirmishes the two People had. He was selected as the sacrifice for that ceremony, and placed in a cage to be burned alive. Though he wasn’t too concerned about dying (he’d only visit the Goddess for a while and the be reborn) a fight broke out to rescue him. The tiny Temple of Light caught fire in the fight, with Torihiko still in a cage. On the desperate urging of his friends, and with a little help from a Light worshiper, Torihiko managed to change minds with one of his pet crows, Big Black.
His body was still burned, with Big Black’s mind/soul inside, and Torihiko was confined to the new crow body. But rather than despair about this, Torihiko has settled rather well into his new shape.
AU Appearance: Well…he’s a large black crow. Maybe a little more animated than normal crows.
Canon Personality: Torihiko is a delightful mix of childish and mature. He seems to have the priorities, the sense of purpose and self, of an adult while also having the abandon and cheekiness of a child. He’s glib and reckless, caring little for himself but greatly for his friends. He also has almost no respect for authority and would rather just do his own thing and have fun than listen to anyone trying to tell him something. Torihiko loves to joke, and takes little seriously. He like music and games, but it’s a little hard to play anything without fingers.
Though stuck as a crow, Torihiko has an amazing attitude about it. He thinks that anything that happens will happen, and it is best to simply take things as they come and not worry. After all, worrying never solves anything but to waste time. He’s practical and patient, taking things as they come with perfect cheerfulness. And it’s almost all real.
Powers, if any (May be rejected by the mods): He’s a crow, but he can speak and be understood by humans as well as birds. He can command birds, but they only sometimes obey. In fact, they tend to be more ‘flighty’ than humans.
